Taster Sessions and Activity Days

Taster sessions and activity days are a fantastic way to gain interest in sailing. For schools and youth groups this is a great way to give the kids something just a little different. Maybe as an end of year activity for a school, a session for a scout group, or an activity day for a school to tie in with Physical Education or lessons. It all depends on your requirements, your group, and how much fun you want to have.

A Taster session will last for up to 2½ hours. After meeting the instructor for the session, a brief introduction and getting changed, it is all about having a good time with some learning thrown in for good measure. Students will help to assemble their boats and be taught how to sail. From there it is on the water, practicing newly acquired skills, through various teaching techniques including games, racing and tuition. With the opportunity to be outside, splashing around it is a visit that children won't forget.

Activity days are tailor made to meet with your requirements. Maybe you want to sail for the whole day! Do raft building in the afternoon! Or maybe try windsurfing instead. The choices are endless.
