Prior to attending Level 2 the student must have the practical skills and background knowledge of Level 1. At the end of the course students should have a basic understanding of sailing and be able to sail safely in light winds. The practical activities are supplemented by short onshore sessions.
Saturday Sailing Programme
We realise that it is not always possible to attend midweek course in one go, which is why we have the Saturday sailing programme. Simply book the dates, preferably consecutively, from the Saturdays available.
Saturday dates in 2008 are:
- April 5, 12, 19, 26
- May 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31
- June 7, 14, 21, & 28
- July 5, 12, 19 & 26
- August 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30
- September 6, 13, 20 & 27
- October 4, 11, 18 & 25
Mid Week Courses
NOTE
4 Days: Beginner & Improver combined
9.00am - 5.00pm Levels 1 & 2 £328
Level 1 and 2 combined over 4 days during school holidays. Due to this adults will be attending courses with young people. Please contact the Centre for more information.
After completing the Level 2 course it is possible to move on to one of the Advanced Modules to improve your skills:
- Start Racing,
- Sailing with Spinnakers/Asymmetrics or
- Seamanship Skills,
- Performance Sailing.
