About the Sail Training Centre

Most of our regular clients first joined us through personal recommendation, but if you have not yet visited the Centre, please do come and see us.A Topper Buzz creaming across Theale WaterExperience the freedom of sailing a boat yourself, the exhilaration of making a dinghy perform to its best… the thrill of flying across the water in a performance craft. Whether a complete beginner, or an accomplished sailor we have a course for you.

The Centre has been a Recognised Teaching Establishment of the Royal Yachting Association since 1973, and offers a full range of certificated courses for dinghy sailors and powerboat coxswains. The instructors are chosen as much for their caring approach as for their professionalism and expertise on the water. Their aim is to provide fun and excitement at all levels, in a safe and controlled environment.

The Centre is Licensed, for watersports, by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority as required by the Young persons Safety Act 1995.

There are over 225 acres of water set amid pleasant countryside, with a wide variety of wildlife sharing the natural resources with sailors. The open expanses of water offer some exciting sailing, while the character-ful islands offer sheltered sailing when conditions are more brisk.
